I absolutely love these apps that can keep track of your steps and how long you've been at it! I use mine daily and it helps me to make goals to do a little more next week or whenever. My youngest and I kind of compete against each other, they were given step counters at school, so it is helping the whole family to participate.

I use several health and weight loss applications on my phone and I can honestly say that if I had not downloaded them I would have a much harder time. Technology is here for a reason; use it!
